About Pathways of Grieving

At Pathways of Grieving, we understand that grief is a personal journey and that everyone's experience is unique. Liza is dedicated to providing a compassionate and non-judgmental space for bereaved women who have lost a spouse or life partner to feel and to be. She believes that the only way to find healing is to go through the grieving process, and she is here to support you every step of the way. She is committed to helping you honor your loved one and find your own unique path forward.

Credentials & Education

Certified Grief Educator

  • Liza is a graduate of the Grief Educator Certification Training, taught by leading grief expert David Kessler (grief.com).   

  • A Certified Grief Educator is committed to providing the highest level of grief support through education, experience, and insights into the often unacknowledged rocky terrain of grief.   Certified Grief Educators completed a certificate program designed by world-renowned grief expert, David Kessler.  They bring his unique methodology, tools, and decades of experience to help people navigate the challenges of grief.

  • Liza is committed to ongoing education and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of grief support.

Liza has been an attorney with the federal government for over 20 years.  In addition to a J.D., Liza has Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) degrees in English literature.

Liza holds a Master Practitioner of Energy Medicine certificate from the The Four Winds Society Home - The Four Winds and First Degree and Second Degree Reiki certificates from the Maryland Center for Reiki Training.

At Pathways of Grieving, we believe in meeting our clients where they are in their grief journey. We provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to express their feelings and work through their grief at their own pace. Our approach is grounded in the belief that healing is possible, and we are here to help the  bereaved find their own unique path forward.
